2014 was one of the most exciting years I have ever had. Both happy and scary all at the same time. My dreams of becoming a mother were finally happening. But at the age of 38 (almost 39), I was a geriatric mother which meant more tests and more worries for a safe baby. As with everything, I tried to find the positive in the journey.
1 – we got to see lots of photos of our little one. Almost once a month!
2 – we knew she was a girl without a doubt. A positive of chromosome testing.
3 – we knew her exact due date, no questions there since it was IVF.
4 – we had the support of a very large community around the world that had been waiting with us for this time of our lives.
So I took to writing, just as I had done through the journey to get pregnant, to share all of the craziness that is pregnancy.
Hope you enjoy this journey as much as I do the trip down memory lane. Pregnancy isn’t always glamorous, but it sure can be fun.
